(S07E02) The first Washington, D.C. celebrity appeared last night. No, it wasn’t Assistant White House Chef Sam Kass, but those cute middle schoolers who got to hug Padma Lakshmi endlessly. Jealous.

Oh right, back to the ‘Top Chef’ recap. Sam Kass was the guest judge of the evening. Things started out with a bang as the contestants were paired off and had to cook together, each person using one arm, under one apron. Their task? Sandwiches.
