Samuel L. Jackson, Neil LaBute Developing Showtime Drama

Samuel L. Jackson’s dance card is getting pretty full. The 61 year-old actor, who’s poised to thrill audiences as Nick Storm in ‘Iron Man 2,’ (which, unless you’ve been stranded with Gilligan, you know opens this Fri., May 7) is re-teaming with director Neil LaBute for a series at Showtime.

According to Variety, the pair, who worked together on 2008′s racially charged crime drama ‘Lakeview Terrace,’ are collaborating on an idea Jackson had. LaBute (‘In the Company of Men’) will write the untitled drama, about a white supremacist family. But while he’s not ruling it out, Jackson doesn’t have designs on starring in the project.

“Sam has been very involved from outset on this creatively, with plenty of brainstorming,” Amanda Tracey, head of development at Jackson’s TV production company told Variety, “He’s not just putting his name on it.”
