Ratings Dip for MTV Movie Awards

Ratings for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards fell 13 percent from last year amidst strong competition, according to the Live Feed.
Sunday night’s telecast drew 4.6 million viewers, down from last year’s 5.3 million viewers, the show’s highest tune-in in five years.
Across MTV, MTV2 and VH1, the show reportedly attracted 16.4 million viewers overall, up 2 percent, though the Live Feed says that is not an actual average viewership.
In other ratings news, game 2 of the NBA Finals drew about 11.1 million viewers, while game 5 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals attracted 6.2 million viewers, according to the report.
As reported on Sunday, ‘Twilight: New Moon’ was the night’s big winner, taking home four awards, including Best Movie.
