Once again, the judges love Michael Costello’s work on ‘Project Runway’ (Thu., 9PM ET on LIFE). And once again, the other contestants are left bemused and incredulous. “You can’t do a zipper, a swoop, lace and satin! Come on!” says Gretchen Jones.

When Michael brags about the judges’ reaction to his turning a bridesmaid dress into a “sexy, sophisticated, expensive-looking” cocktail dress, Gretchen, Ivy Higa and the other competitors bite their tongues. But their pained expressions betray them.

In his absence, Gretchen’s exasperation bubbles to the surface.
