‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Reaches a Big Bucks Deal with MTV
Filed under: TV News
Fans of Ed Hardy, gum smacking and generally obnoxious behavior can breathe a sigh of relief as their beloved guidos will be back for another season.
After reportedly refusing to show up to begin filming the third season of ‘Jersey Shore’ on Monday because of “contract disputes” (read: we want more Benjamins or else…), the cast has gotten MTV to cry uncle and pony up more dough.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the tanorexics have inked deals that will net them each nearly $30,000 an episode — to put that into perspective, realize that they were paid $5,000 for season one and $10,000 for the second — so it’s a 200 percent bump. Not too shabby for the gaggle of mooks, all of whom were total unknowns a year ago.
