Introducing the TV Squad TV Club
Summer stinks for a TV fan, doesn’t it? Sure, things have improved since the dark days of reruns, as cable has blessed us with original shows to fill the gap that the broadcast networks currently fill with reality dreck and scripted burn-offs like ’100 Questions’ (seriously, how bad is that show?). Still, the pickings at the TV buffet are still slimmer than they are during the rest of the year.
Which makes this a perfect time to catch up — or revisit — a show you’ve been meaning to watch. Which is why we’ve decided to start the TV Squad TV Club.
The name pretty much explains things: It’s going to be structured like a book club, with “meetings” every other week where we discuss the assignment for that time period. And our first TV Club subject is a good one: ‘Battlestar Galactica.’
We’re going to start by watching the three-hour miniseries then progress straight to the series’ first season, taking things about six episodes at a time. If we get enough interest, we’ll move on to season two. Schedule and details after the jump.
