SomethingPitchy’s backstage interviews with the ‘American Idol’ top 10 continues today with hunky rocker Casey James and the always hilarious Michael “Big Mike” Lynche.

First up, we found out how Casey is feeling after battling allergies at the start of the tour, how he picked his tour set list and, in an impulsive move from host Andy Scott, just how tall he really is.

Then, Gaby sat down with Big Mike to talk about his hilarious tour video series, Late Night Sandwich, Aaron Kelly on Redbull and, yes, Tim Urban’s pecs. (We had to sneak that in there somehow.)

President Obama made his much talked about appearance on ‘The View’ (weekdays on ABC) this morning, and the President and the five women (Barbara Walters was on the show too) actually got to talk about a mixture of the fluffy (bike-riding with his kids) to talk about healthcare, the feud between the right and the left and FOX News and current unemployment numbers.

The latter topic was something that co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck seemed to take issue with. This was an appearance that probably was more interesting than some viewers thought it would be. He was welcomed cordially but was asked a few pointed questions too. Though we could have done without the questions about Mel Gibson and Snooki.

In the show’s final seasons, the cast of ‘Friends’ made one million dollars per episode. Now, the three stars of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ are hoping to follow suit, though on a smaller scale, by negotiating their salaries from $60,000 to $250,000 per episode, according to a Deadline Hollywood report. The latter amount is what industry insiders speculate the cast should make given the show’s high ratings. Instead, word on the street is that the studio offered stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco $100,000 an episode, and the actors have not responded.

Apparently, critically hailed main geek Parsons is attempting to negotiate higher pay than both of his costars. It’s a demand not completely out of left field, seeing as Parsons has two Emmy nominations under his belt in addition to near-universal praise for his portrayal of socially awkward scientist Sheldon Cooper.

If the thought of Lindsay Lohan’s sitting alone in a jail cell has been getting you down, this news might cheer you up: According to the Ausiello Files, the season premiere of ‘Medium’ will borrow from kiddie classic ‘Freaky Friday’ (no word on whether it’s inspired by Lohan’s beloved 2003 remake of the movie or the original version.)

Executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron told Ausiello, “The season premiere is basically ‘Freaky Friday,’ which is to say Allison becomes her 13-year-old daughter Bridgette, and Bridgette becomes her thirtysomething mother Allison.”

‘America’s Got Talent’ revealed the next four semi-finalists, but before the live show began last night, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne had a reunion with ex-judge David Hasselhoff …sort of. The studio audience was treated to Morgan and Osbourne taping a segment that will appear on Comedy Central’s upcoming roast of the ‘Baywatch’ hunk.

Morgan and Osbourne don’t often agree, but they put their differences aside in order to team up and razz the Hoff. If their remarks were any indication of how cutting Hasselhoff’s roast will be, the guy might want to wear some body armor to the show’s taping on Sunday.

After taping the roast segment twice, it was on with the show!

Could this be yet another step toward finding out the identity of the titular mom? Rachel Bilson is making a return appearance on ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ according to EW’s Ausiello Files.

Series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas confirm that the erstwhile ‘OC’ player will reprise her role as grad student Cindy and drop in on the gang at MacLaren’s bar when the CBS sitcom returns for its sixth season this fall.

“The season premiere is going to be very much informed by her presence,” said Bays.

Continuing its trend of renewing shows for multiple seasons, USA network has given a two-season commitment to the female-driven drama ‘In Plain Sight.’

According to Deadline Hollywood, the order by network executives will bring the series total to five, making it the third-longest-running series on USA behind ‘Psych’ and ‘Burn Notice.’ The show’s main cast — Mary McCormick, Frederick Weller and Paul Ben-Victor — will all be returning for seasons 4 and 5, and the show will continue to be filmed in New Mexico.

The resignation this week of ABC entertainment honcho Steve McPherson was surprising enough, but now the affair has taken an ugly turn.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, McPherson, who’s led the network for six years, resigned as he was the subject of an ongoing, formal investigation surrounding charges of sexual harassment.
