Oh, the personal sacrifices the daily-news media must make to keep us informed. “Nation, I am sick,” Stephen Colbert said feebly from a comfy chair on ‘The Colbert Report’ (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on COM). “I am not kidding. I have a fever, and there is nothing left in my stomach.”

But the intrepid Colbert placed the needs of his fans ahead of his own health and helmed the show anyway. To help sustain him, the host bundled up in a ‘Colbert Report’ robe, bunny slippers and his “nana’s blanket.” Joked the comedian, “I gotta say she put up quite a fight when I took it.”

Oh, he’s also drinking a particular beverage, hoping the company will offer a sponsorship deal. He may be vomiting, but he’s still thinking strategically.
